In honor of Vince Carter’s recent Jersey Number Retirement
Congratulations to Vince Carter, Half Man Half Amazing for getting his #15 jersey retired by the Toronto Raptors. Along with Allen Iverson he is one of the reasons I picked up a basketball in the first place. The NBA Live 2004 video game cover is pictured above because it was my first basketball video game on the PlayStation 1, so it’s extremely nostalgic. Thinking back on his time in the league, VC, was a sight to see and has plenty memorable highlight reel plays. His game was smooth yet tough and in your face. He was a truly unique ball player at the Shooting guard position who could take over at any moment. Although I always rooted for players like him to win a championship, it does not take away from his game and impact. A true winner at life we acknowledge you as a winner regardless and appreciate every moment you left us with.
